The recent violence in the #CHAZ reveals a simple truth: in the absence of a legitimate police force, society does not become immediately peaceable. In fact, it quickly descends into mob justice.

My favorite tidbit to emerge from the island of misfit toys was the post from a resident of Chaz who was shocked beyond compare to learn that all her valuables, including her laptop were stolen. It seemed unfathomable to her considering she insists that she zipped up her tent!!
