Florida did *great* work! They were prepping nursing homes, limiting visitors, *before they even had a single confirmed case*. They declared an emergency as soon as they had confirmed they had cases in the state. They beat Washington to the punch by over a week!

It's especially good considering the high number of elderly, the high number of group care homes, and the high number of people flying in from New York during their outbreak.

The fact Andrew Cuomo is a "hero" and Ron DeSantis is a "villain" is a testament to the power of the media.

I'm skeptical. The press has lionized all sorts of public figures that have gone nowhere with the public, and vice versa. DeSantis' approval is currently 68%, bad press notwithstanding. And we'll see where Cuomo's numbers go once the nursing home story sinks in...
