Yes, it's a huge premium to pay if you're not required to be there for work. And the quality of life has steadily degraded for about 10 years.

The issue is that once Jack leaves, new leadership will ask emp back to the office. It took IBM 15 years to go from full office —> WFH —> back to the office. Cycles repeat themselves ... it may take a while, but it’ll happen
