Everyone knows or should know that the current US education system is no longer good enough for us—and that money is not the problem. The problem is not the sincerity or dedication of most teachers either. It’s content, structure, and purpose, and it’s past time for an overhaul.

No, because "the education system" isn't really a thing. It's at least hundreds of little satellite systems operating in dramatically different ways around a very loose and confusing set of federal standards. Some parts of American education are world-beating. Some aren't.
