        Occupy helped the tent movement begin has always been the way I see it. Give them hotel rooms. Show me the photos!!! Still think Airbnb is best option. Many are move in furnished and ready. Spread out for success. City can create short term jobs. Help move in!! Housing solutions!

        This is mainly being pushed by activist groups. "political leaders" have been pretty resistant to just handing out keys to hotel rooms. Rightfully so. "basic property rights" were upheld. the cops removed the agitators.

        True in this instance, but city councilmembers in Los Angeles are threatening to "commandeer" hotels and then purchase them if they go bankrupt during the shutdown.
