Alot of "experts" point to the success of #HousingFirst in Finland as a model to follow here. But does anyone consider Geography in this equation? Do the cartels that pump tons of drugs into the U.S. exist in Finland to the same degree? Drug addiction perpetuates homelessness.
Or the fact that the vast majority of studies show that Housing First does not reduce addiction or mental illness—and some studies show that substance abuse, psychiatric symptoms, and death are likely to *increase* with Housing First compared to control groups.

Look at the Ottawa study, too. Housing First recipients had worse outcomes than a control group with no intervention.

Exactly. I'd imagine the percentage of Finnish-Americans who are homeless is extremely low
