2/ It's not compassionate to leave this woman on the streets. We are in the midst of an addiction and mental illness epidemic, and we must change our policies. We must pass new "conservatorship" laws, so desperate people like this can get the help they need.

Maybe we should start talking about overpopulation, but addiction should be a front page issue and the Sacklers should have received old school justice, not a slap on the wrist for pushing Oxy. Is 1 million-plus immigrants a year, mainly to these coastal cities, sustainable?
