IIRC, in Doar's presentation, it counted $7,000+ in Medicaid spending per household, which "lifted them out of poverty." Obviously, it's good that people in the bottom income bracket have healthcare, but it hardly means that they're not poor anymore.
Poverty is increasingly being decoupled from its material dimension. In many ways, it's now more of a social, psychological, human problem that can't be measured by income alone.

You destroy the meaning of the words this way. Poverty is still about income. If you want to talk about some all encompassing measure of satisfaction do so on its own merits, poverty isn't it. Changing goalposts to negate progress is very standard. But raping semantics shouldn't
