To name a few: intact families, social capital, civic and religious participation, entrepreneurship rates, overdose deaths, obesity. In the bottom 20% of ZIP codes, all of these are much worse than 1963.
IIRC, in Doar's presentation, it counted $7,000+ in Medicaid spending per household, which "lifted them out of poverty." Obviously, it's good that people in the bottom income bracket have healthcare, but it hardly means that they're not poor anymore.

Poverty is increasingly being decoupled from its material dimension. In many ways, it's now more of a social, psychological, human problem that can't be measured by income alone.

Right, "religious participation" and "intact families". What your saying is that poor people may be materially better off but they've stopped conforming to right wing preferences about how they should live their lives.
