2/3 And still, the progressive political establishment refuses to admit that we are in the middle of an addiction crisis. They blame Amazon, landlords, and developers for the explosion of homelessness on our streets. The Stranger even blamed this senseless murder on "cars."
3/3 Here's the truth: addiction kills people. And, even worse, our political class enables this kind of carnage through their permissive policies and preposterous levels of denial. How many more human tragedies will it take before our political leaders will admit it?
Some are (for example: marijuana, vapes), whenbused responsibly and while not operating heavy machinery, et cetera. Meth is indeed a nasty drug, but we also shouldn't take away accountability from the individual.
