Maybe instead of wishing violence on this desperate man stealing a trash bag full of items from one of the biggest chains in the country, we could prevent it by investing in communities instead of carcereal punishment. If you think stealing is bad google “civil asset forfeiture”.

Desperate man stealing…hair appliances. Not medicine, food, water, clothing, or hygiene products. Hair appliances. He’s not desperate; he’s a thief who knows he’s not going to be held accountable for his crimes.

poor people have the right to have hair appliances and leisure too. not condoning the behavior, but don’t tell the system isn’t messed up.

My wife needs a new car but we can’t afford to take on a second car payment. Seeing as we’re too poor to buy one, can we steal one? Don’t I have a right to a mode of transportation and leisure?

Yes, you do have that right actually. I’m sure wherever you live, much more could be invested in public transportation if less tax dollars were being wasted on the police.

So because we have police, it is within my right to steal cars? I drive 26 miles to work. My wife drives 19 miles in the other direction. You think it’s the government’s responsibility to drive my wife & I round trip 52 miles & 38 miles every day?
