On May 21st, @TeamYouTube tweeted that they would be showing abbreviated sub counts everywhere on YouTube; including the API. The only party to access the real sub count would be the content creator. This announcement threatens to make websites like... (1/?)

(4/?) This is one of the BIGGEST changes in YouTube's history and would utterly destroy the purpose of even having a public subscriber count at all. From what it seems, YouTube is trying to eliminate these subscriptions, when subscriptions may have made YouTube. (4/?)
