Bio-leninism is a very sneaky way of saying, "I don't understand how genetics work."
-
-
Maybe a channeling of forces into a framework equitable to the system, as opposed to letting forces run gambit that might destabilize the system. But that framework - capture entangled with shock absorption - drifts further from the Bioleninist model..
-
which seems to suggest that marginalized groups were passive prior to 'left agitation'... which is patently untrue, at least in the United States.
-
NRx argues that the agitation goes back a long way: "The Devil was the first Whig". So, If you're looking at these phenomena on a Cultural Marxist timescale you need to update / deepen your optics.
-
I'm aware of the NRx argument, which I find dubious overall with some nonetheless interesting points. But the Spandrell's post is clearly contextualized in the same frame of time as the cultural Marxist conspiracy theory, hence bioLENINism.
-
Apologies, I lazily assumed a lower level of engagement. Would be interested to see you bring your objections directly to
@thespandrell he's far from inaccessible here. -
I listed my basic disagreements in earlier ITT, though a blog post might be order to outline my thoughts a little more -because the marshaling of dissent/agitation into 'mainstream' political organization is very real, and something that I've had a kind of long term obsession w/.
-
If you write it I'd certainly be interested to read it. I find the basic premise of
#Bioleninism highly persuasive, but I am undecided to how great an extent the status transfiguration is apparent (proxy) / real (instantiated).
