Honestly at the point I make shit worth shit I'm going to call myself an autodidact because I will have a degree that I will be using for precisely almost nothing, but that still won't excuse me from the job of synthesizing information into a form comprehensible by mere mortals.

Indeed, even the "autodidact" must, in order to accomplish any significant feat of learning, skim off the presynthesized information of others, much like humanity probably got its jump start from eating meat (presynthesized proteins) and then also cooking it (predigested!).
