blade runner 2049 was... alright? kinda lacks any depth and came out of it with absolutely zero questions which is kinda bad

i legit don't get how this can be a masterpiece but gits was panned? like they're really fucking similar aesthetically and narratively
It is an aesthetically beautiful film, but it does very little with the central idea it is playing at. Problem with possibility of sequels.

I mean p obv GITS was saddled with the Hwood whitewash story... Many people primed to appreciate were soured. (e.g. i still haven't seen it)
