Remember when iBooks, ThinkPads and a select few Vaios were the only laptops that weren't god-awful ugly?

I think the Inspirons were the biggest offenders, but everything had giant badges and unnecessary molding/plastic accents.

Also, Alienwares have always been hideous. I know they're not really meant to be used as laptops. That whole set of aesthetics is just bad.

I checked, and nope, early-2000s Compaqs were just as bad as Dells. What an awful era. I get them being chunky, but why *add more* plastic?
