The other side is not blithering morons, however this particular person commits some very basic argumentative errors. There are legit critiques of accelerationism to be made and some are even along similar lines, and any position needs intelligent responses. This ain't that.
I do agree. I think it's just because I'm vaguely acquainted with the author from FB and know that this is one of their first published pieces that I'm inclined to be lenient and a bit defensive. But agree that as an intervention it adds little/nothing.
And yeah I think if anything anti-accelerationists are more guilty of out of hand dismissal - the whole debate is dysfunctional in the extreme
