Someone explain to me how putting the categories at the bottom, where my thumbs are, is suppose to be better? Right now I assume you have to fail a test on UI in order to work at @Twitter.

not at all, even holding with just one thumb the new design is both heinous and dysfunctional. it's almost as if they were begging you to leave.
