@realMaxCastle started back with Tanis - definitely getting better. have you ever seen Tarkovsky's Stalker?

Yes! Mixed feelings about it. Like all Tarkovsky films, it's about 30-40% too long. But it's my favorite. There is a definite Roadside Picnic vibe to Tanis.

Vibe is actually not strong enough. But I like how it combines these different sources into a story.

Yeah, it's a little too baroque and fanficesque to have the same kick as BT for me, but it's enjoyable.

I wish I had found BT first. It's clearly the better constructed show.

It totally hooked me, tbh - the way they zip together characterization, theoretical stance, and story/conspiracy is pretty masterful
