Yeah. Land introduced both terms and used them interchangeably, but what is important is that it is an attempt to think acceleration-in-itself. I don't see much of a different between this and what ObCap was/is doing (dunno what they would think of that claim though, haha)
The problem is that politics, in whatever mode it occurs, will inevitably want to guide the process to a desired end, or close off certain processes. E.G., government by algorithm or AI. Such a development would be,become anti-political as it removes humans decision making.

I think I largely agree. Although I don’t think politics is incapable of moving in that direction. The deliberational aspect would just be shifted to key parameter design, and the AI “aunties” would run/manage most background processes. This is the direction I prefer.
