actually why not? are you suggesting that climate change is not driven by human activity?

I never mentioned climate change. Humans are driving processes resulting in carbon redistributions creating extreme changes in climate. I think that question is better directed at Edmund.

Of course civilization and industrial development is the trigger for climate change.

So isn’t CC an example of what humans are capable of at large scales? We changed the very composition of a planet, but you don’t think we are capable of creating a system of patchwork’s that stave off extinction?

Nope, because CC is *exactly* the sort of thing we anticipate radiating out from runaway processes we cannot control. The slippage of planetary civilization into the capitalist machine is fundamentally different from global coordination + expecting radical value shifts.

Planetary rebuilding is a nice myth though, one that would undoubtedly be fuel for the fire.

Where is Vince when we needed him most? Lol. Anyway that part in Vince's essay on the fascism of nature over humanity fits well with the green/black discussion from a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah that's what I tried to draw out in ACC Vs DEC, because from the get-go the ecological has been bound into the U/Acc concept, and these sorts o high-order entanglements of k-positive reaction cuts to the heart of how human agency is embedded & subverted

i dont think so, it rather precisely describes the difference, the gulf if you prefer... it needs to be understood.
