I'm no second amendment advocate, but it does seem backwards that one can be forced into military service at 18 but not allowed to legally buy a firearm until 21...
I will be strongly pushing Comprehensive Background Checks with an emphasis on Mental Health. Raise age to 21 and end sale of Bump Stocks! Congress is in a mood to finally do something on this issue - I hope!

Neither background checks nor bump stocks bans would’ve stopped Cruz From murdering 17 people. He passed the background check. Banning assault rifles like the AR15 would’ve stopped him.
