'This is a mental health problem at the highest level' - your words, Mr President. In February you signed off a law revoking gun checks on people suffering from mental health issues, allowing some 75,000 people potentially at risk to themselves or others access to firearms.

They come in all shapes, sizes and colors. There’s no one particular type. Murders & deaths, have been since the beginning of time. As a nurse, I’ve seen folks hurt WITH guns, knives, toothbrushes, lids to cans, razor blades etc.it’s the PERSON who does it.

Anything can be made into a weapon. Regular household chemicals, mixed together by someone who wants to cause damage, can be done easily. Look at the pressure cooker bombs that did horrible damage. Unfortunately, there are people out there who do this.

I’m grateful that law abiding citizens can have a gun to protect themselves. The ‘bad guys’ will always find a way, to have the means to have weapons. Thank goodness for the people who’ve stepped in with their conceal carry and stopped the rampage.

The US has had more gun related deaths while I typed this tweet than the UK has in a year! Why’s that I wonder?

It might be because guns are hard to get in the UK

It might also be the fact that the US is a larger country than the UK and has a larger population, which means a more likely chance for a shooting, regardless of legal or illegal gun ownership.
