We need market competition, skin in the game for everyone. Nothing should be 100% free.

So poor folk die and the richer you are, the better the care. What happens when all the poor folk have contagious diseases?
-
And do we just let the poor folk die in the streets? Do we pay to remove their dead bodies? And poor children? They just die too?
-
Poor children will never have a shot at being wealthy if their childhood is plagued with illness and lack of care. Which means ...
-
The rich just keep getting richer. This doesn't seem like a good plan. "Screw the poor, they don't deserve care"
-
No one is ignoring the poor. Everyone needs skin in the game. The only one ignoring the poor are government programs.

If there is going to be free healthcare it should be for our sick older citizens 1st. The rest can tough it out with case by case exceptions
-
I lived 22 years without healthcare. Paid cash. Worked 3 jobs in college with a double science major without any loans or grants. Was poor.
-
Wow, so your reaction to being fortunate/blessed enough to not have had a major catastrophe is "fuck everyone except sick old people?"
-
They used to make cheap insurance. People used to sacrifice and work, not freeload. My view is not single payer healthcare.
-
We are no longer in that time. Insurance is no longer cheap. You can sacrifice and work all you want, you'll still be s&!t outta luck.
-
I work. My insurance is included in my pay package. Been that way all my working life. Sell all you have and give it to the poor.
-
I have always purchased insurance through my job. The changes they are looking at will change our plans too (for the worse).
