.@GOP We were put in this position of power and importance to make decisions for the people who so proudly elected us, the most important of which has long been considered to be the selection of United States Supreme Court Justices. We have this obligation, without delay!

It was because the Presidency was held by one party and the Senate another. Read your history. That is why they are moving forward now as both are the same party. McConnell did an interview back in Feb I believe and explained all this.

To hell with that. This is far too important. Tens of millions of lives have been ended due to republican failure to overturn that terrible ruling in 1973. We’re ending it now.
