Good to see such a thoughtful statement of concern from the federal govt for the city I live in, just 40 miles up the road from the gleaming capital.

A few quick thoughts on this, FWIW. Baltimore has indeed been going through a very rough stretch the past 4+ years. But one of the things that's been so striking is how LITTLE support or interest there's been from Washington to what's been going on here, just up the road.

As one of the 500,000 people living in @RepCummings district, let me say: I love living here (28 years, so far) and CHOOSE to stay here to live, work, play, grow. So am I not a human being in your eyes? Who else do you think sub-human? All 500,000 of us, or just the minorities?
