.....United States Supreme Court is given additional information from which it can make a final and decisive decision on this very critical matter. Can anyone really believe that as a great Country, we are not able the ask whether or not someone is a Citizen. Only in America!

You know what, who cares about the Census question when the Supreme Court just ruled that partisan gerrymandering is outside the jurisdiction of the federal courts. This is a shocking attack on the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment and on the Voting Rights Act too.
-
We fought the Civil War so that African American slaves could be free. That’s literally how the 14th Amendment came to be. Gerrymandering to dilute African American votes is state-sponsored white supremacy and is the 21st Century version of the horrendous Three-Fifths compromise.
-
Want to see how crazy this gerrymandering of Congressional districts can get? Take a look at Dan Crenshaw’s Texas 2nd Congressional district. It looks like a hunched over Bart Simpson taking a shit.pic.twitter.com/EhfIqIGw0a
-
Gerrymandering allows Republicans to carve out the craziest shapes for Congressional districts to ensure that there are enough conservative white voters to drown out black communities. In North Carolina, how you draw the districts can change a 5-5 even vote to a 10-3 advantage.pic.twitter.com/ftb6FMDnpr

Screw ‘em! Put the citizenship question on the Census!
-
The party of “law and order” when they don’t like a law.
-
Speaking of laws.. Illegally entering the country is also breaking a law. Oops!
-
Speaking of other laws... Applying for asylum requires that one is physically present on US soil.
-
Right. What’s this have to do with ignoring the Supreme Court?
-
Nothing. I was responding to the other guy. Sorry to hijack things.

-
You can have him. I'll even pay to ship him to you. One-way ticket, of course.

IF the basic question of Citizenship cannot be asked, then why have a Census?
-
That’s not the purpose of a census, you nitwit. It is not an instrument for immigration enforcement. Also the purpose of the census would be defeated if you put such questions on a census. You can’t count people if a number are deterred from responding.
-
The purpose of the census is to count citizens.
-
No. It is to count all the people living here. Definitely not restricted to citizens.
