My mother is 86 years old and has chronic pain so bad that she cries and lays on rolls on the floor at night. She walks the floors. Her doctor has got her down because of this opioid crisis. Something has to be done for the population with chronic pain.

I am so sorry for your mom. I hope you are able to get her some help or a better Dr who can properly address her pain. She should not have to live like that.

-
Thank you so much, Jen. I am checking into other doctors for pain management right now. This doctor cut her down on her dosage since all this has gone viral with the opioid epidemic. It's sad that the elderly or even people with major chronic pain have to deal with this.
-
I hope you can find one soon for her. If s terribly cruel that so many suffering are elderly that are not able to advocate for themselves. It’s not right. Also, it’s not up to the government to play Dr. They are not qualified to make a judgment on a medical issue. My 2 cents.

I have singled out some doctors in the area. They manage pain. We live in a rural area of Chicago and doctors are not really hip on cannabis. And once again, Jen, thank you for your replies

Mr. President, the opioid epidemic is destroying the lives of the chronically ill & chronic pain patients nationwide. There are thousands of people that can not survive without these medications, please watchhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x0HINsoVWKY …
-
There r millions that can’t survive any quality of life with opioids!
-
**without opiates** Lol I hate we can’t correct typos!

Yes, many have very serious spine injuries. It seems like the ones being vilified are those going to their Dr w/ a legit injury and following the rules. Would be simple to fix, but this administration just wants to label everyone the same. It’s uneducated thinking.

Being subjected to drug tests by my doctor as a result of this bs. Never had one in my life. I feel like a criminal every time I go to rheumatologist. Shameful.
-
Let’s keep educating folks who don’t understand the difference between injured/chronic illness vs drug-seeker. In my opinion, drug-seekers are easy to spot. It’s not
science.
A Dr could easily categorize their own patients for a national database to remove restrictions. -
