OK secure the border, deport or turn back people trying to come in.... but keep parents & kids together. Why the need to separate kids from parents?

Even our own children are not allowed to reside in prisons. It's our laws. Ted Cruz has a proposal in Congress that would give these people a speedy hearing (within 2 wks), a decision as to asylum. From there they would be reunited with their children, granted asylum or returned.
