I did not reference those photos. I hadn’t seen them before you posted them. I am not questioning the quality of the facilities. I’m saying that the very practice of separating children from their parents at the border, which no one denies, is cruel.

I agree it absolutely is. I think it’s cruel too how the Democrats don’t wanna do the right thing & get to 60 votes in order to be able to change these laws that are on the books, instead they’re using this as a midterm election issue.

This is a misinformed comment. A) There is no law on the books mandating family separation. That is a policy decision. B) Even if that weren’t true, it is impossible to solely blame Democrats for a decision that requires 60 votes. There are only 49 Democrats in the senate.

There’s only 51 Republicans meaning 9 Democrats need to move to the other side but of course Schumer won’t let that happen, not a chance in hell. Anything that looks like an accomplishment for Trump, even if it helps people out, they’re against it.

But this is a straw man argument. There is no law mandating family separation. The Democrats aren’t preventing Republicans from “helping people out.” That’s not the problem. The problem is a policy that is immediately within this administration’s power to change.

Trump has stated how he’s against kids being separated from the parents, I’m sure if he were able to do something about it himself, then he would.

What about ending military exercises, praising his leadership or that joke of an agreement to de-nuke with no timeline? No other president ever met with a NK leader for fear it would give them propaganda fodder & the image of legitimacy
