As a US Army Veteran, I WILL ALWAYS stand when the National Anthem is played. I will also defend the right of others to kneel that is their 1st Amendment Right. Standing for the Anthem doesn't make you patriotic. Believing in our country, our values and the constitution does.

I will defend the right of an employer to tell their employees they must stand for the National Anthem. I defend anyone’s right to not watch the NFL anymore and to be offended by players kneeling during the Anthem.
-
That's all well and good. But do you defend a President that lies to get attention , and cause division? The Eagles did not kneel or hid in locker room. At least Fox News appologized for error...
-
Trump can invite whoever he wants. Eagles made it clear they didn’t want to go, he invited veterans that wanted to go to the Whitehouse. It worked out fine for everyone...
-
By veterans I’m sure you mean trump supporters that are kept in the White House basement for times like these. Can let all that caviar go to waste.

I'm sure there is incest going on with this user, lol

Stop lying about the protests. They were protesting the treatment of black people by police in this country. Did you know that, Donald? It has nothing to do with disrespecting the flag. Just because you claim it does doesn't make it true. It's their constitutional right to do it!
-
Today, msm reported Putin stated in an interview that he talks with DT on the phone OFTEN. Is Ts ultra patriotism distraction, hiding behind the flag, as he continues 2 sell out his country? This has turned in2 showmanship. Another T deflection ploy? Using NFL 2 do so.

-
Of course, it was never about anything but putting on a show for his cult
-
He’s taking this to an extreme that it is disturbing. Stirring up even more division with racist implications. Using MSM gullibility 2 play 2 his base & using our flag & military 2 do so. He actually has no business interfering in NFL decisions or protocol. Breaking another law.

It’s a private company and he is not a dictator at least not yet but he thinks he is....

I'm telling you, this LOCKING UP KIDS IN CAGES is sending me over the edge. I've been enraged by SO much, this is making me physically ill. I keep thinking back to Japanese internment camps, I've always said I would never be complicit in something similar, it's happening

You know what else is disrespectful to our country? TELLING PEOPLE WHEN TO STAND AND TELLING THEM THEY'RE NOT GOOD AMERICANS IF THEY DON'T.
-
He didn't say they're bad Americans, he said they are disrespectful and Trump can say whatever he wants, he can't force anyone to do anything
-
Actually, I believe he called them “sons of bitches” and that “they should be fired”. Actually...
-
And he’s correct...
-
No he is not, Freedom of speech protects their right to protest
-
On their own time, and own dime. Not on job time.
-
Standing for an anthem is not part of a football players job description. No one is paying them to stand. They aren’t costing anyone anything whether they sit, stand, kneel or lie down. Their job description is to play football and that is what they get paid for.
