The problem with your position is no one can define "hate". A company might say it's typing the n-word on their platform, a country might decide it's an enticement to violence against a minority. In some countries it doesn't even figure into their legal lexicon.

...in the sense that nobody can provide one true definition for the word "hate"? Yes. This can be said of literally any word. Why does that matter at all for this argument?

Correct. So why are you using "hate" as a justification for banning people if no one person can provide a true definition of the word?

Because language doesn't work that way. Words mean different things to different people in different contexts, and you don't need the "one true" definition of a word. Nobody can provide one true definition of "pedophilia" but we still ban that off most places on the internet.

Bad analogy imo. the word "Pedophillia" is universally accepted on cyber space to mean attraction to a "minor" (ie. someone who is under 18). Believe me bud, this is not a new argument; the debate about the definition of "hate" speech and censorship goes way back...

What about places where age of consent laws are lower? What about using the word to mean attraction to underage bodies only (i.e. the "she's actually 4,000 years old" defense)? My point is, we can form a common understanding, and remove it with discretion. Same for hate speech.
