I now join the long list of imperfect human beings with “foot-in-mouth” disease. Once again, I apologize to Congressman Yarmuth and his family and ask for their forgiveness.

When someone shows you who they are believe them. They say what they mean the first time. Threatening to shoot someone is serious. Someone that threatens to shoot someone is not a stable person and shouldn't hold a government position period.

Doesn't sound like he's safe to hold a gun either. He just threatened murder. That is a crime that should take away his right to own killing weapons.

I'm wondering, were you a "CIA Contractor" like all your announcements claimed or were you a "CIA Officer" like your little bio claims? If you had ever been either you would know they aren't the same thing.

Apologies don't prevent you from facing consequences. I hope it costs you any future political career.

Dude you basically threatened to shoot a congressman. That’s so far beyond “foot in mouth” disease it ridiculous. That’s a demonstration of terrible judgement. How could you expect constituents to trust it if you can’t even demonstrate it on social media?

Threatening the life of a Congressman is a Class C or D felony, carrying maximum penalties of 5 to 10 years under 18 U.S.C. § 875, 18 U.S.C. § 876, and other statutes. The FBI's Louisville office is currently investigating you for your threat to the life of Congressman Yarmuth.

Surely your Secret Service time taught you that an apology doesn't undo a criminal act like threatening a Member of Congress...
