Our old system didn’t “verify” much except that a channel had 100k subs. This change lets us make verification more helpful for people trying to find the official channel of the creator they’re looking for. You can always appeal too & we’ll take a look before the change happens.

This is crazy! I have a feeling this is all for mental health! It is probably designed to prevent people from stressing about losing 4 subs and wanting the check mark! I think one mental health fix would be to fix notifications first!
