The AR-15 has existed since 1957 (was not made into M16 until 1964), clip fed rifles with deadlier ammo from the military have been for sale > the 40s, and a gun with bullet/capacity of AR-15 by Ruger is exempt from all AWBs. Lack of background checks isn't the issue. Hate is.

I am not opposed to background checks. Don't get me wrong. What I am opposed to is people vilifying the supporters of the 2nd Amendment by using the 1st when sensationalism in media drives copycats and POTUS is a hatemonger endangering the lives of POC with his angry rhetoric.

If we were able as a public to call it for what it is, stop defining terror so narrowly that the DHS cannot defend us against white extremist terror because unless they support Islam or are Muslim white people can do anything under the radar. Stop laying the blame at my feet.
