On the other hand, almost all the bankers and brokers & fleet owners declined to talk with us. The people who are interviewed in the episode - Larry Fisher, Basil Messados - are not necessarily the worst in the industry. They're the ones who agreed to go on camera.

One of the most striking parts of the episode is the footage from the television commercial that the city produced ahead of its medallion auctions (a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," the commercial said). That ad aired in 2004, and it took months to track it down.
