Absolutely...I am a federal employee (Economist) of NOAA and my husband is a contractor that supports the FAA. All our eggs in one basket...probably not the smartest move.

Of course it would affect me! I have friends who work for the government, & others who rely on federal programs that need funding. Probably almost every American can say that.

I am a CBP/ DHS officer on the southern Border. My family of five live paycheck to paycheck, so not getting a check keeps food off the table for my little kids. Keeps the bills from being paid. Keeps gas out of my car. But i am under direct order to report to work no matter what.
