A5/I have to admit this #readrchat has raised the idea of enemies-to-lovers to me. I don't think I've seen too much of that in short stories/novellas, and I'd love to see more. Any recs?
Less? Hmm. Maybe ero rom that doesn't have time to build the connection outside of the sex.

Must Love Coffee by Sarah Mayberry was a fun, ripped from the headlines, enemies-to-lovers. Ruby Lang's Open House has two MCs on opposite sides of an issue.

A5. Not subjects per se but more prequell style novellas similar to Flow by
@kennedyrwrites so we get the backstory of the characters explored that cannot be included in the full length novel#readRchat -
Your
#Gripstol shout outs are giving me life! Thank you!

A5: I don’t want anything emotionally heavy. A short story/novella doesn’t have the kind of time a book needs to unpack darker themes.

Now I'm trying to think if I know any "heavier" novellas... I hadn't really considered tone/angst level so much, but this is an interesting point

A5/I honestly can’t think of anything specific! Maybe some more relationship in trouble stories because I think novellas could be great for that.

If they're new in the story, this would be great. I always struggle with this if it's a couple from a previous romance. Don't mess with my HEA.

Q5 - I do enjoy new plots or side plots to main novels, but I REALLY LOVE followups on couples we've already met. Often a book ends JUST when the couple figures stuff out & its so nice to see a glimpse into them just being low angst & happy. An epilogue on steroids.
