1/2 Thanks for making the Elixir dev room this year at FOSDEM. My favorite talks were: Keep Calm and Use Nerves by @acscherp , Going Meta with Elixir's Macros by Wiebe-Marten Wijnja, and Debugging and tracing a production RabbitMQ node by @GSantomaggio .

reminds me of the stories that came out of California during the wildfires: phone maps would direct people to streets that were empty...because they were engulfed in flames, hence no cars or phone signals.

I just found out that GMail on iOS has been completely broken for IMAP/SMTP accounts for years, turning anything non-ASCII into ????? when sending messages. Multiple people have complained since 2018 with no answer. What the hell, @google?

I just switched my primary browser from Chrome to Firefox. I wish I had done that months ago. Chrome had slowly became a source of frustration (display glitches, lag, etc), and I thought it was time to get a new laptop ... Turns out I needed Firefox, not a new laptop

Woohoo, I just got a small Ruby script to run entirely from JVM bytecode without hitting our parser, compiler, or interpreter. Once everything can be precompiled to JVM bytecode, we'll be able to AOT your Ruby apps to native code!
