And in the UK he would have had a jury trial. 12 peers who I'm sure would have convicted him of murder. Not an incompetent judge taking liberties with the evidence. True remorse requires honesty not self interested damage limitation.
Rather than incompetent, #JudgeMasipa may have been fearful, for herself perhaps, for her family more likely.
