What upsets/ saddens me most is that our electoral system has always been predicated on a good faith understanding that both sides accept the same rules, accept the same results, thus ensuring a peaceful transfer. Trump & GOP have forever undercut the system by choosing bad faith

Exactly the same for being a nation under the rule of law. This requires a general acceptance of the notion. What we have now is a nation in which half its voters do not respect, value, or accept laws as being some final arbiter.
