well... that's my Iomega Zip250 SCSI drive broken & along with it instant loss of access to over 1/3rd of my unique sound sample library. can't afford to replace it so that's that.

i'd just be throwing good money after bad Rebecca - most of my music gear is from the 90's. it had to give up the ghost at some point.
Explore your options, Peter (or have some tech-addicted nephew or such do so for you!). You're certainly not alone. We boomers are blazing trails.. with our ego-centric wishes and our sheer numbers! Just please don't let money be the determining factor.

sadly cash has always been the main hurdle for me. but for the way i work, & it's archaic & strange, hehe, i'm all out of options, as nothing else i have can do what my old kit does (& no relatives techy or otherwise, who could help
