I came to this after my folks passed, as I was trying to make some sense of it all. Will go to DM for details. Bottom line, though, is that my working hypothesis has held under every test so far.

And around and through.. as so-called dark energy, I believe. That state into which living things pass when their physical state dies. That state from which a spirit/soul passes when it becomes physical mass.
