    Whatever the true reason, the perception will likely be that MA Gov. Charlie Baker is retiring because he’s (reasonably) worried about losing the GOP primary to a pro-Trump challenger. That his allied LG Karyn Polito isn’t running to succeed him reinforces this assumption. (1/2)
