On the phone with @PearsonVUE now, who has asked me to confirm my time zone and current time four times so far. I have no idea why.

Currently going through 100-level troubleshooting. I forgot how painful this was.

"Would you like to reschedule or cancel?" me: "Do I have a choice? I'm forfeiting fees either way, right?" -_-

What's perhaps most frustrating about all this is that I know what this Tier 1 support rep is going to write, and I'm going to sound like the problem here. ex, "Do you have any other applications open?" "Yes, Firefox." Yeppp, we know what happens next, right?

All in all, trying to take
@awscloud's new online option has been a frustrating experience. Not only has it not worked, it's actually *created more work for me* now. oh, and I'm out $100 on top of that.2 replies 1 retweet 0 likesShow this thread -
While we're here, there's some fun stuff in the exam reminder email. "Corporate firewalls often cause issues while trying to take your exam. Please consider taking your exam in a setting without a corporate firewall."

This is one hell of a clean desk policy. "Please note that you are required to have a clean and clutter free workstation. During check in, the Proctor will ask you to perform a room and desk scan using your webcam and will inspect any materials near your workstation."

For an exam scheduled to go 100 minute, this is kinda insane http://share.mikejulian.com/486cb69f7693

Man, it gets getting more frustrating. Pearson responded to my ticket, but didn't address the system issue at all--just rescheduled the exam. Also, it's from a no-reply address and there's no way to respond to the ticket to correct them.

This is the same system / policy of Linux Foundation exams. To be honest, I'd rather attend a test centre for any future exams. I understand the conditions, but it's excessive

It is horrifically bad to be sure. I'm 99% sure I'm just going to call this a $100 lesson and not bother with the exam now. It really is that bad.
