One of the counterintuitive startup lessons is that making something free or as good as free can lead to: 1. Devaluing of the service _you are offering_ in the eyes of the customer 2. Killing the market altogether.

I just added hot reloading to (SSR for RN). It's very simple. The render function runs on the server so we can just restart it, reconnect to it from the app, and fetch the component again.

Интересно наблюдать за трансформацией своего мышления, в котором я желаю НАНу долгих лет жизни и надеюсь, что его легаси будет в формировании тюркского союза как политического альянса, а не все то, что было до этого. Мечтать не вредно.

I can’t run a basic echo container on a 2core 8gb node kubernetes cluster because all of the CPU is eaten out by cloud native service mesh control plane sidecar pods. Life was so much simpler on 20 bucks droplets.

This ain't no Google+, Google. I'm not about to sit around and wait for another debacle while my whole infrastructure is in there.

Rambler sues former employee for creating nginx 17 years ago, one of the most successful open source projects, then building a business around it, and selling it for $670m... They want $800k.

One thing I don’t get. What’s the rationale for charging a mother $40 to hold her newborn child?

Picking on editor support is not controversial. My take is that OCaml has a release schedule, certain improvement directions, some sort of roadmap even. Reason and bucklescript don't.

$7500 for a five letter .com domain - vanity or business necessity? It's a bit of both plus gratification from closing a gestalt.

Modern cyrillic fonts are incredibly beautiful. I love how they change the perception and somehow make even the mundane things meaningful.

The first issue of This Week in Super Apps newsletter is out 🥳. I'm super excited about this topic. Here's why:

There's also an issue with auto-downloading new articles, it simply doesn't work. So if you're loading up for a flight, make sure to open every item and wait until it's downloaded. I won't even mention bad cyrillic fonts after the last redesign.

Today marks a new release of KSQL, one so significant that we’re giving it a new name: ksqlDB ksqlDB has 2 new additions: inbuilt connector mgt and pull queries. So stream processing apps will be as easy to build as CRUD apps w/ relational DBs

Reason nerds/OCamlers; would any one of you be interested in Tyxml + brisk-reconciler? I.e. very fast, type-safe, and server side renderer for HTML with React.js like component model?

One thing people from 'modern society' don't seem to get is that rich are welcome to 'give back', but only out of their own benevolence. If you think they MUST, be ready to work as janitors, doormen, and stokers. Because there's no such thing as liberal arts in Soviet Union.
