Every semester when I get to the second or third essay discussing racism and religion a white student will say “this is exhausting,” and I have to remind them that BIPOC—including students in their class—deal w/ it daily.

There’s no reason that every assignment and subject in school needs to be viewed through the lens of CRT. And trying to end racism with more racism is quite ironic.

To be honest, I can't imagine. It's like explaining color to a blind person... It's something I have never experienced. I try to listen and be supportive, but I can't pretend to understand what it feels like for the individual/group & the range of experiences & emotions.

Yeah... it is enlightening watching those old videos from the day of Martin Luther King and you see Americans complaining about the ruckus he is causing, saying "Everybody was getting along just fine before he arrived" Eerie how the arguments are almost exactly the same today.
