As I deal with more and more people, I'm finding my patience to be shrinking. It's tough to engage on the topics I do, know the harm of the ideas I challenge, yet remember that I'm generally a nice person.

It's a tight needle to thread. There are times where being mean is a necessity, where being angry is a necessity, but maybe I can be more patient with those I know engage reasonably, and those who may sincerely not know enough on an esoteric topic.

Trolls are a problem, often brought on by the topics I engage in. I don't really mute or block, but maybe that's something I need to reconsider. To make room for intense but decent engagement, maybe I need to get rid of trolls. It's a challenge though.

It's tough, I'm just thinking out loud. Maybe all I can do is try to be nicer to some people. Even some of those I frequently strongly disagree with I can be nicer to. I don't worship civility, but I am who I know myself to be, and he's a nice guy.

Blocking is essential. I used to not block at all...but now I block at the slightest provocation.

You should mute. Not muting ever is frankly a bit silly.

Some ppl are simply wasting your twitter feed space, and they know it, and are doing it intentionally and for some silly principle nice ppl let them do it, thus achieving nothing except encouraging it and letting it eat at them.

Speaking for myself, I *DEFINITELY* mute & block. Reflexively. On gut instinct. You don’t know these people and you do not owe them (or anyone (& vice-versa)) a single solitary second of your time or mental energy. Time is a finite resource. Also. ‘Niceness’ is a scam.
