So let’s have some empathy and respect the feelings and history of African Americans and not use it. And I know that’s difficult when the most popular genre of music is rap and you hear it every where and everyday. 3/

The complication is that this is a solution that won’t work because people don’t like being told to not do something. So this word will continue to be used by non-black people. Especially by the majority of the world who don’t the word’s cultural baggage. 5/

Another complication is that some black people are ok with non-black people using it. So if you really wanna say it and your black friend “allows” you to, be considerate and don’t say it to other black people. 6/

And I know some people think that n***a is the less offensive and reclaimed version of n***er but to many black people that difference only exists when black people use it. 7/
