I dunno. After watching a good chunk of urban Santa Rosa burn after the Tubbs Fire roared out onto the flats and became an urban conflagration, I wouldn’t say it couldn’t happen in Chico, too.

I get that. I was in the area with those winds. Santa Rosa acted like a funnel with hills on both sides, where as Chico does not have the same geography. Always good to be cautious though. I do have a vehicle full of grass and a fully charged cell phone but not stressing too much

Don’t be too confident. Heed the warnings. I watched the Carr Fire from a front row seat...it’s no joke what can happen when the winds pick up. Chico is often prone to high winds coming from the eastern foothills. Don’t make a grave error in judgement.
